Saying that Herr Wisocki wants very much to play in the next subscription concert, that Mendelssohn explained that the repertory was already set but that he did not want his solo to be the cause of Wisocki's not playing, adding that he promised Wisocki that he would speak with the directors about the matter; he also says that he has just heard that Novello in London wishes to publish the Cello Sonata on 28 February, and asks if Kistner approves.
